It’s Raining, It’s Pouring Follow Up Activities
Inside the Chapter 5 workbook, you’ll find some simple sheet music for It’s Raining, It’s Pouring, simple sheet music for a Rain Dance song, and some other resources for writing your own song.
If you don’t have an instrument, this is a great episode for Hand-Signing. Or if you don’t have the Chapter 5 workbook, you can try doing some similar activities by writing your own song using just the numbers 3, 5 and 6.
If you have bells and you’d like to make the song a little bit more challenging, you can try replaying the song with all 8 bells set up, even though the song only uses 3. Generally, we want to keep your child’s musical play as focused and error-proof as possible, but if they’re getting comfortable with these Mi Sol La songs, you can provide a little bit more long-term content by having them play the song with all 8 bells set up.
In the next lesson, we'll sing and play our rhythm song for this chapter: Sweet Beets # 5!
